Columbia Police Department K-9, Gorrit, has died

Based on the news, one of Columbia Police Department’s K-9s had passed away. Well, it was mentioned in the news that on Friday, the Columbia Police Department stated in a Facebook post that K-9 Gorrit had died. In addition, Gorrit was an 11-year-old Dutch Shepherd. Then, he served the Columbia community from 2015 until his retirement in January 2025. Lastly,  it was also reported that Gorrit was partnered with Sergeant Jamie Dowler and enjoyed his retirement with Dowler and his family.
